We are always looking for highly-qualified and committed legal interns as well as students as research assistants (each m/f/d).
- You passed your first state exam with distinction and have good English-language skills (preferably as a result of a stint in an English-speaking country)?
- You are looking for a business law firm that is active internationally but, at the same time, you want to gain practical experience and work on interesting matters?
- You want to join a law firm where the partners and other attorneys take time for you and your training?
After having gained many years of experience at large law firms, we, at SCHIEDERMAIR Rechtsanwälte, have decided to advise and represent our clients personally or in small teams. We have built long-standing relationships with many of our clients, whether the German “Mittelstand” or large, international conglomerates. Because we have gained a good understanding of our clients’ businesses, their employees, and their legal needs, our clients trust us. This is our recipe for success.
We know from first-hand experience that small, but committed, teams are capable of achieving great things. We share know-how and responsibilities with one another. You will be actively involved in all aspects of client work: For each project you will have a good understanding of what the project is all about and the goal.
You will be asked to do legal research, prepare correspondence, pleadings, and contracts, participate in calls and meetings with clients as well as in court hearings. This allows you to quickly learn about the day-to-day work of a business lawyer. We will discuss the results of your work with you, point out possibilities for improvement, and make every effort for you to work on projects that are relevant for your legal education.
For your legal intern period to serve real value, you should be prepared to work at least two, or preferably three, days per week. If you already know what areas of business law may interest you, we will, of course, consider this. Your training will be in one of the following areas:
- Labor and Employment Law
- Corporate Law/M&A
- Intellectual property/IT/Distribution Law
- Real Estate Law
- Litigation/Dispute Resolution
- Tax Law
Our attorneys also look forward to working with you to find areas of law that you may enjoy and with which you are comfortable based on your interests and skills. Either way, you will have one of our partners as a contact person. He/she will provide you with a comprehensive picture of what we do in terms of day-to-day matters. Simultaneously, he/she will ensure that you are busy, but not overworked, and that you get good training.
You will also undoubtedly enjoy our office’s location in Frankfurt’s Nordend with a wonderful view of the Frankfurt skyline.
If you have not yet completed your first state exam, or you are looking for a position as a research assistant to help finance your doctorate studies, we looking forward to hearing from you.
Your responsibilities and schedule will depend on your availability. You will be asked to conduct legal research, write memos, and assist attorneys on projects as they arise.
