Jörg has been advising clients on national, as well as cross border, mid-cap transactions since 1998. In 2023, he was recognized in a survey by the Handelsblatt as one of the best lawyers in Germany in M&A.

He worked as General Counsel at HANNOVER Finanz, a renowned German private equity firm, for eight years, gaining significant private equity industry insight and deal experience. He now advises investors, vendors, as well as management teams.

He has been negotiating an increasing number of strategic cross border investments since 2014, often on behalf of clients from the United States and France, but also on behalf of German clients expanding their business operations in Europe.

Jörg has been a German Attorney at Law since 1995 and joined SCHIEDERMAIR as a Partner in August, 2020.

Jörg previously worked with renowned international law firms. From 2006 to 2014 he was the General Counsel of HANNOVER Finanz, a German mid-cap private equity firm with a focus on investments in the German “Mittelstand”.

Jörg studied law at Bayreuth University and holds a Master of Laws from Osgoode Hall Law School, Toronto.
